They're for setting a place at the table, pouring a drink, and calling the ones we've lost back into the room. This Halloween, we're calling back the musicians. Beyond the Veil is a live concert and theatrical ritual honoring the artists who left us — David Bowie, Dolly Parton, Juan Gabriel, and more — brought back for one night through the songs they left behind. Mexican-American singer-songwriter LIAH leads a full band through two sets of tributes woven with her own originals, performing in English and Spanish, joined by New York vocalist Samara Nightwine, dancers, and a cast built for a night that doesn't sit still. This is our third year making something for the departed, and it has sold out every time. The theater holds 120 people. That's the whole house. Come as your favorite departed star.
