Tradition that will be preserved in the desert. On Sunday, November 1st, Amara Baja celebrates its first year with a Día de Muertos gathering that honors the people, the land, and the sea that shape Baja California Sur. Our chapel becomes a mega altar, where every guest is invited to write the names of their loved ones who have passed, as a tribute that stays with the night. Catrinas move through the grounds, and 12 guest chefs cook from 5 to 7 pm, each one accompanied by a Catrina as their shadow. Three bakeries join the table, and live music carries the evening into the night. The celebration has a purpose: a protein auction and fundraising benefiting Pesca con Futuro, supporting a more sustainable future for fishing in our region.
